Monthly Beauty Boxes

I've been tempted for awhile to subscribe to one of the monthly beauty boxes that are available. Having looked into to them I have narrowed it down to two. There are Glossybox and Carmine Beauty Box.

GLOSSYBOX

  • For £10 (plss P&P) a month you will receive 5 product miniatures from high-end brands.
  • Some of the brands you can receive products from are Dermalogica, Illamasqua, Murad and OPI.
  • Review the products on the GLOSSYBOX website and receive 20 GLOSSYDots. Collect 1000 GLOSSYDots and your next GLOSSYBOX is free.
  • You can cancel your subscription at anytime.

Carmine Beauty Box

  • For £10 (plus P&P) a month you will receive 5 product miniatures from high-end brands.
  • Some of the brands you can receive products from are Caudalie, Weleda, Danity Doll and Lulu's Time Bomb.
  • Receive free boxes by sharing with your friends.
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time.

Both boxes basically offer the same sort of service. I am more tempted to try the GLOSSYBOX as I am more impressed with the brands they have and there are afew brands that i've wanted to try for awhile.

Have any of you tried or are subscribe to any of the monthly Beauty Boxes currently available? What do you think and would you recommend? Let me know :) xx

Exciting News - Proactiv in Boots

First of all I am sorry that I haven't blogged in awhile. I've moved back to my parents while me and me lovely bf Gary sort out a house. Now that everything is moved and sorted i can now finally get back to what I love, BLOGGING.

Now I am sure you've all read and heard on other blogs that from today Boots.com and Boots stores have started to sell the Proactiv Solutions 3 step routine kit. The 60 day supply kit is priced at £39.99

If you haven't heard of this brand before, it's an American brand of spot fighting treatment that's very popular with celebs such as Katy Perry and  Avril Lavigne.

The kit includes;

  • Renewing Cleanser 120ml - This mild formula gently cleanses while tiny beads exfoliate skin cells to help unclog pores by removing dirt and impurities to reveal clearer skin.
  • Revitalising Toner 120ml - Our gentle toner removes excess oil whilst natural botanicals soothe and soften your skin
  • Repairing Treatment 60ml - This specially formulated, light lotion penetrates your skin to help clear blemishes and to prevent further breakouts.
This is designed for people who suffer with Acne/blemishes.

Now i haven't personal used these products but from reading reviews and seeing other blogs this range is very popular and the results have been amazing for some people.

Unfortunately, I do still suffer with blemishes so i am very tempted to try this range especially now that you are able to purchase this in Boots.

Have any of you guys tried this before? What have you thought? If you haven't tried it will you be purchasing a kit? Let me know :) xx

Tesco Make up

Whilst I was shopping round my local Tesco I noticed the new make up range that's recently been launched. F&F Made Up. It is available in stores and on-line.

The range includes eye shadows, nail vanishes, lip glosses, foundations, highlighters and many more. The prices range from £5.00 - £10.00 which I think is very reasonable.

The products that I'm most impressed with and will hopefully try out in the next few weeks are the lip crayon's, eye crayon's and bronzer. Unfortunately there wasn't many of these items available on the stand in my local store so I will probably be ordering these on-lone.

Have any of you guys seen any of these products? What do you think? Will you be trying any or have you tried them? Let me know :) xx

Estee Lauder BB Cream

I managed to pop into boots and get hold on a sample of the new Estee Lauder BB cream which came out on Monday. Im a big fan of Estee Lauder Make-Up. Their Double Wear Foundation is an absolute must have. I have been waiting for this for a while after hearing that Estee were bringing out a version of the BB cream.

It claims to;
  • Provide an instant, even-toned, healthy look.
  • Powerful protection with our proven Super Anti-Oxidant Complex and SPF 35.
  • High-performance, oil-free hydration.
  • Helps to control excess surface oil.
  • Available in 2 shades to suit a wide range of skintones.
The SA tested both shades on me. The light shade was the winner. She advised that this could be used under or instead of foundation. And it can replace the primer I am using at the moment as it will provide a flawless base. Its priced at £32 . So was this worth waiting for?? The answer is... maybe not.

The fragrance of this is so lovely. When you put this on your skin it smells so fresh and it blends really well. I used this under my foundation, like a primer as the SA had advised. I applied all over my face, let it sink in for abit then applied my concealer and foundation as normal. Unfortunately, It didn't provide that flawless look I was hoping for.

Also since I have been using this product I have broken out on my chin. The only thing I can think of that I have been doing/using differently is using this product. My foundation also doesn't seem to last that long since using this. When I checked my Make-Up at lunch time I felt that it I needed to re-apply my Make-up again :(

Overall I am really disappointed that this hasn't worked for me as I had high hopes for this product.

What do you think of the BB creams available at the moment? Have you tried any and which are favourites? xx
