MUA Lipsticks

I've always said that you can never have enough lipsticks so while I was in town the other day I popped into Superdrug and picked up 3 MUA lipsticks. Unfortunately, the Superdrug shop near me are always hit and miss with stocking up the MUA stand but I got lucky when I went in.

Im a big fan of their lipsticks and already have a couple of them in my collection. For only a £1 these are a great bargain. These are the shades I picked up;

Shades from top to bottom
Shade 7
Shade 11
Shade 10

I find that these lipsticks provide a lovely shimmer/satin finish. They are very moisturising to your lips and don't dry them out that I have found some lipsticks do. They are soo easy to apply as they glide onto your lips. They come in a great choice of colours and you can build up the intensity of the colour.

The only negative thing I have is that compared to the high-end lipsticks I have used these don't really have the staying power. I do find myself having to re-apply more than I would normally. But considering that they only cost £1 I can live with this!!

If you haven't tried any of these lipsticks then you must. For only £1 they are such a great buy and you can't go wrong with them. And if you find that they don't work for you, you don't really have the guilt that you have wasted your money.

Have you tried any of the MUA lipsticks and what have you thought? Let me know :) xx

April's Glossybox

It feels like I’ve been waiting forever for his months Glossybox but its finally arrived!!

This months box is a Natural Beauty box. You get five natural beauty products to try out and the box itself is 100% biodegradable!!!

In my beauty box I got;

Caudalie Vinosource SOS Thirst-Quenching Serum - This is newly-launched product. You apply morning and night before your moisturiser. I've just started to use the Beauty Elixir by Caudalie and love it so I was very excited that I got an Caudalie product. Can't wait to start using this!

Inika Cosmetics Certified Organic Eyeliner - I have to be honest when I say I have never heard of this brand before. I’m always willing to try something new so I think I will use this for the next week instead of my usual eyeliner.

Ayuuri Natural Body Wash - There were four options of body wash you could have received. I got the Sandalwood wash which just smells so lovely. As soon as I finish my current body wash this will definitely take the spot.

Figs & Rouge Lip Balm - I’m a big fan of lip balms so this will happily go straight into my Make-Up bag. The tin is sooo cute. It makes me not want to use it and ruin it :) And as a added bonus you can even use it on your skin.

KAI - Perfume Oil - I have never used perfume oil before so it will be nice to try something new. The fragrance is very florally which I am not always a fan of so I'm not too sure about this.

I am happy with the products I received in this months box and can't wait to start using them. What did you receive in your Glossybox box and what were your favourites? Let me know :) xx

Soap & Glory Hand Food

I first got my tube of Hand Food at Christmas from my BF sister. I was so happy when I saw it as I had been always tempted to try it but just never got round to doing so.

The first thing you notice is the lovely pink tube design. As a fan of all things pink and girly this ticked all the boxes straight away. You can’t help put want one!! I squeeze about a 5 pence size amount of the cream onto the back of my hand, as this is where I seem to have the most dryness, and rub it in between both hands. From there I work it in into the rest of my hands.

The thing you notice is how quickly your hands become sooo soft. Straight away it provides an instant relief to dry hands. The cream sinks into your hands and doesn’t leave them feeling greasy afterwards like I have found with other hand creams. The softness feeling and the lovely floral and fruity fragrance lasts all day. It even comes in a smaller tube so you can even keep one in your bag!! You can pick one up from the Soap & Glory website for £4.85 or from Boots.com or Boots stores for £5.00. It’s a definite bargain and is has replaced my usual expensive hand cream.

Have you tried this hand cream and what did you think? Would you recommand any other Soap & Glory products. Let me know :) xx

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

Hey Everyone,

For the best few months my skin has broken out really badly. I don't think I have been doing/using anything different. I have been trying lots of different spot/blemish treatments and nothing seems to help.

I decided to go back to a spot treatment that I first tired about 2 years ago and did help to calm my spots.

Some of you might have heard of this cult classic. I think it’s a must for people who suffer with spots/blemishes. The Mario Badescu website says The Drying Lotion is a fast acting, effective acne spot treatment. Formulated with salicylic acid, calamine and other quick-drying ingredients, this product will shrink ugly whiteheads virtually overnight while you sleep. While other acne spot treatments can irritate and dry delicate or sensitive skin, this product is safe and effective for all skin types.

I find it best applied using a cotton bud. After cleansing, toning and mosisturising put the bud into the pink mixture at the bottom of the bottle and pop a little bit of the mixture onto your spot/blemish then leave it to dry. Do not shake the bottle and apply only the pink sediment on the skin. Do not rub it in. You don’t need a lot as a little goes along way. The current bottle I have has last me since November. I do find that this is best used every other night. For me using this every night tends to dry the skin and makes it flaky. But I guess you can stop this happening if you use a good moisturiser.

The next morning rinse the lotion off your face. You may have found that the pink mixture may have rubbed off your face during the night. The spot/blemish should now appear less red/angry.

TOP TIP: Never apply this if you have picked the spot. Speaking from one who knows It will sting alot when you apply the lotion and the next morning the spot will not improve that much in appearance. Also use a different cotton bud each time you apply the lotion to your face. If will help against spreading more spots.

This is a product that I will always go to help make a spot disappear quickly. You can buy this from beauty bay for £14.50 or from the Mario Badescu website by clicking here .

Has anyone of tried any of Mario Badescu products or the Drying Lotion. If you have how have they worked for you? Let me know :) xx

Make-up Brush Holder

Hey everyone,

I've been on the hunt for a nice Make-up brush holder to keep all my brushes nicely tidied away and on a recent shopping trip to Home Bargains I came across this little make-up brush holder that seems like it could do the job for the time being. At just 99p its a real steel!!

It has 6 large holders on the outside to keep your larger your brushes like foundation and powder brushes and 6 smaller holders on the inside to keep smaller brushes like lip and eye brushes. You can easily fit up to 3 brushes in the lager holders so this can quite easily hold quite afew brushes altogether.

The only thing that I would improve on with the holder is that I wish the height of the holders was higher. I find that when you put only one brush in the larger holders its not stable and sometimes they fall out.

Brushes more stable with more
than one brushes in one holder

Brushes not as stable with
one brush in one holder

I think this is a nice brush holder for the money but I'm still on the hunt for that perfect holder. What do you think of this holder? Can you recommend a place where I could pick up a nice brush holder? Let me know :) xx

Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24Hr SPF15 Foundation review

Hey everyone,

Recently I have seen on several blogs reviews on the new Lancome foundation, Teint Idole Ultra 24hr SPF15 foundation. On one persons blog they even said that this foundation had replaced the Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation they have been using. This is when I sat up and started to pay attention. I thought to myself  could this be a possible rival to my beloved Double Wear foundation? Thinking that I went along to my local Lancome make-up counter to pick up a sample.

The very nice SA lady tested 3 shades on me 01, 02, 03. The 03 shade was a tad too dark for me. I was inbetween the 01 and 02 shade. Unfortunately, as there was no samples for the 01 shade I could only take away the 02 shade. But she did say to go back in afew days and hopefully they will be able to give me a sample of the 01 shade.

I usually wait until the weekends before I try out any new make-up or skincare products as I am usually in a rush on weekdays mornings getting ready for work. So I couldn't wait until the weekend to try out this out.

The 02 shade is more of a peachy tone then the usual yellow tones I go for. I'm usually an NW20 in MAC or Fresco in Estee Lauder and I think this shade is alot lighter than I usually use so I was abit unsure at first. When I first put this on my skin and started to blend I was abit nervous. Initially it started to look abit chalky which reminded me of the Chanel Perfection Lumiere foundation I tried afew months back which I was wasn't a big fan of. I finished off apply the foundation then started to puff it in. Well I was impressed. The more I puffed the more the chalkiness disappeared. I was left with amazing looking skin. What I loved most is that is provides full coverage so it can cover my blemishes really well. I finished off applying the rest of my make-up then went out for the day.

I checked my make-up half way through the day and I was happy with was I saw. There was no shininess and I still had a full face of coverage. Only had to apply abit more concealer to some of the blemishes I had but apart from that I was happy.

I can see why people love this foundation when they have tested it. I think its amazing. I still think that the Double Wear still has an edge over this as I think it provides that bit more coverage but I can honestly say that if I am never able to get hold of the Double Wear then this will be my next choice.

Have any of you guys tried the Lancome foundation. What have your thought? Will it replace your usual foundation? Let me know :) xx

Tesco Clothing

Hey guys,

A website that I probably look at nearly everyday is the Tesco Clothing website. If you haven't ever been and had a look then you must. The clothing range is amazing. Not only do they sell a huge range of the Florence & Fred Clothing which you can pick up in most Tesco Extra stores, they also sell the F&F Limited Edition range, F&F Blue, F&F True, F&F Make up and other F&F ranges. Not only that you can also pick up other items from other great brands. Such as, Pretty Polly and Influence to name a few.

Here are afew of the clothes from the website that I'm liking at the mo;

F&f Floral Print Wedge Sandal
£18

F&F A Line Lace Dress
£14

F&F Stripe Ponte Pencil Skirt
£10

F&F Floral Print Peg Leg Trousers
£16
F&F Muti-Stripe Tote Bag
£8
F&F Open Stitch Stepped Jumper
£12

The thing that makes this different from the other clothing websites is something that you might of seen in the press recently. It is the F&F Virtual Fitting Room. You can try before you buy. All you have to do to use this service is like the Tesco clothing website page on Facebook. I haven't tried this myself yet but I'm very tempted to use it next time I order. There's nothing more annoying then ordering clothes on-line then when you receive them having to send them back as there not suitable. Always hate the hassle of this.

Ordering from the website also offers free delivery to your door when you spend over £50, free click and collect from your local Tesco store and free UK returns.

Currently at the moment they are doing a special offer where you get £10 off when you spend £40 or more on clothing on-line. All you have to do is enter the code ENJOY12 at the checkout.

This offer is also available in store but you get £5 off when you spend £25 or more on clothing. You can pick up a voucher at the tills to take advantage of this offer.

If you want to check out the Tesco clothing website then click here

Has anyone ever bought anything from the F&F range. What have you thought? Let me know :) xx

March Favourites

Hey everyone,
Hope you've all had a great March. Can't believe another Month is over. That can only mean one thing, its time for another favourites post.

Sudocrem
This has been the press recently about how sales have increased after some celebs have said this is their go to product to help with spots and after it appeared in an episode of TOWIE. I'm not surprised that people are turning to this to help with their skin as I have been using this on and off for about 2 years to help deal with spots when I get them. I feel this does help calm down the red angry spots I get under my skin. They still appear but not as bad as they could do. I use a bigger pot on a night and carry the tube in my make up bag just in case of emergencies. I know some people apply this directly onto their spots and leave it on for the night and some use it as a mask. I would be interested to hear if you use it how do you apply it?
Real Techniques Stippling Brush
I wont go on too much about this brush as I've just done a review about how much I love this brush.  Since using this, my foundation has looked 100% better. Think this will always be a firm fixture in my make-up brush collection.
Tangle Teezer
For the past few visits to the hairdresser's they have used this comb on my hair. I loved it so much that I went and got my own. This detangles my hair without damaging it when its both wet and dry with ease and without any pain. I feel since using this I have seen an improvement in my hair condition.
Benefit Erase Paste
I've always had an off and on relationship with this concealer. I can go for months using this all the time then I will not use it for ages. But the past month I have fallen back in love with it. It has been providing great coverage for the redness round my nose, helps get rid of the dark circles round my eyes and is good at covering blemishes. And the best thing is it lasts nearly all day.
Maybelline Dream Touch Blush - Shade 07
I've always been a fan of creme blushes. I think there great if you just need a quick touch up of colour. I always carry one around in my make-up bag. I'm a big fan of this product. It has even replaced my Topshop creme blush. Its so easy to apply, provides a lovely colour that lasts for a good few hours and even has a glittery finish.

And Finally....

Cadbury's Mini Eggs
These are one of the main reasons why I love Easter time. I'm completely addicted to these. I can't open a bag and not finish them straight away. I think I will have to stock up as after Easter these will disappear again for another year :( Watch this space as over the Easter weekend I'm hoping to make some Easter treats with these.

What have been your favourite products over March. Let me know :) xx
